Graig ward covers

The Graig is a steep climb out of Pontypridd all the way up to Penycoedcae. The area also continues to the east towards the University of Glamorgan. The Graig is a close community in which a number of residents have lived there most of their lives.  It is also home to Dewi Sant Hospital which is at the heart of the community.

The Graig used to be home to Pontypridd Graig Railway Staion which closed in 1930 none of the platform remains, however the tunnel mouth is situated in Dewi sant hospital car park,the other end of the tunnel is in the grounds of the Universty of glamorgan, which is some distance away.
