Okehampton is a bustling market town situated at the Northern edge of the Dartmoor National Park. It is quickly accessible from the main thoroughfare, the A30, that goes through Devon and Cornwall.

Okehampton has a population of about 7,200 people. The population continues to expand with new developments currently being built and planned.

Much of the activity - whether commercial, social or policing – is focused in and around the town centre due to the high concentration of shops and licensed premises found there.

Okehampton is a safe place to live with the likelyhood of being a victim of crime falling well below the national average. In addition, the incidents of serious crime are very low indeed. The main problems are antisocial behaviour and spontaneous incidents of vandalism.

Please chcek our priorities, which are updated monthly, to see what we are concentrating on.
