I am trying to check my family history.
My maiden name was DOWELL and I have found several ancestors either in Stapleton or Barwell.
I am trying to check the father below, THOMAS DOWELL, as I m not certain I have found the right THOMAS DOWELL.
Baptisms 1773. "WILLIAM son of Thos DOWELL of Stapleton. March 21st ."
Can anyone help and are there any DOWELLs in Stapleton now, I wonder.
