Although based in Yeovil, there may be a need to work at other sites across the Southwest.

* Have good fault finding skills to enable to resolve reactive Electrical issues in a timely and professional manner
* Complete emergency light testing and emergency light repairs
* To complete general power and lighting repairs
* Be a safety person for electrical testing, using a cherry picker for high access work
* General electrical repairs and servicing tasks
* Able to work unsupervised and on their own but also perform effectively as part of a small team
* Keep clear and concise written records for use by others
* Provide information to supervisory and managerial levels to facilitate solutions to problems
* Consistently produce work to a high standard
* Complete work in a timely and efficient manner
* To ensure that all works are carried out to company and Client standards, policies and procedures and expectations
* Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times

What you will need to succeed

* Must be able to gain and retain MoD Security clearance
* Must have a ‘can do’ attitude and contribute to the team effort
* Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
* Competent response maintenance engineer who can demonstrate extensive knowledge of wiring schematics
* Flexible in approach to roles and responsibilities with a willingness to undertake tasks outside their own trade and if required, undertake qualifications outside their own trade
* Must be flexible towards working at sites other than that at which they are based
* Focused, motivated and enthusiastic
* Capable of completing all own paperwork in a clear, accurate and concise manner

Qualifications and Experience

* A recognised apprenticeship with relevant experience as a fully qualified electrician and/or an appropriate City and Guilds/NVQ in an Electrical discipline
* Holds City and Guilds IEE 17th Edition Regulations BS7(phone number removed)
* Holds City and Guilds 2391 or 2395 Testing and Inspection
* Up to date knowledge of latest legislation
* Experience of electrical testing

Desirable

* Previous knowledge and experience within MoD contracts
* Previous experience of working within a maintenance environment
* Holds CompEx Hazardous and Explosive Area certification (or CompEx Fuel) or is prepared to gain these qualifications
* Experienced in maintaining and repairing Generators or is willing to train for this task

I am currently looking for an Electrician to start a permanent position in Helston!

Working for a leading FM company you will carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance, testing, inspection and new installations work across site. Travel to other sites may be required.

Main Tasks:
• Fault finding
• Complete emergency light testing and emergency light repairs

A well established organization is recruiting for Day and/or Waking Night Support Workers for their care homes and supportive living services in Cornwall. You will be supporting Adults or Children (8 - 18 year olds) who have Aspergers or Autism and some may display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- You will work in 1 location. Area`s are: Blackwater, Camborne, Hayle, Helston, Newquay, Redruth, St Austell and Truro
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to
- Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc
- Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve
- Full or prompting personal care required but no manual handling / hoisting

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- St Austell candidates must be a car driver due to location

Contract / Terms (pro rota):
- Days is £15,879.24 per annum = £7.83 an hour on weekdays & £10.34 on weekends
- Nights is £18,720 per annum = £9 an hour on weekdays & £10.56 on weekends
- Some locations will require 1 sleep in per week which is paid at £75 per sleep
- Contracts available: 20, 30, 39 or 40 hours a week
- Monday to Fridays with alternative weekends
- Day shifts can vary between 8am - 10pm
- Waking nights can vary between 10pm - 8am
- 3 month rolling rota
