Quality Technician
Posted: 16/07/2018

Salary:£25000 - £28000/annum per Annum

Category: Engineering

The man is back is back, and this time it’s all about Quality. The factory is up and running, a 30 strong team is on the go during the day & evenings, there’s a night shift, self-employed delivery drivers, and a new company owner who’s even eviler than the Factory Manager and wants to introduce Quality products in to the American markets, even if it means 25% import duties! Thanks, Donald (and no, I don't mean Duck).

If you can see the bigger picture, that’s great, but this is all about Quality at grass roots level. Incoming & outgoing product Quality, a bit of LEAN implementation, a touch of Quality Assurance audits, and above all; an understanding of polymers/injection moulding.

Some of the Role:

* Complete route cause analysis (RSA)
* Aid with New Product Introduction projects (NPI)
* Problem solving using statistical techniques, MSA, SPC and FMEA

All in all, it’s a Quality role, in a Quality company, working for a Factory Manager who knows the names and roles of every single employee under his supervision. The family have sold the business, but theres a definite family feel about the Launceston site which sets it apart and makes it a great place to work!

Whatever your job title, if you have dealt with quality control within the polymer/injection moulding industry, I would like to hear from you. Call me and lets chat: (ZERO, ONE, EIGHT, SEVEN, TWO, TWO, SEVEN, FOUR, EIGHT DOUBLE FOUR) or (ZERO, SEVEN, FOUR, NINE, SIX, FIVE, SIX, NINE, DOUBLE EIGHT, ZERO), email Craig DOT Amarilli at Acorn People dot com, InMail me or connect with me on LinkedIn, even pop into the Acorn office in Truro and I’ll be happy to discuss things further.
