The Role:

You will receive extensive training and support before you begin the role, continued mentoring to ensure you have all the tools you need to supplement all the experience you have gained in clinical practice and you will be working as part of the clinic team.

The job

As part of the Senior Management Team, the overall purpose of your role is to ensure product safety and legality via the implementation of effective management systems and encompass quality control, assurance and hygiene.

You will work directly with major UK retailers, be a key customer contact for the business, develop a successful QA strategy, motivate & coach your team to achieve excellence and ensure full compliance by factory personnel of all relevant food safety and technical requirements.

You will also coordinate audit schedules; manage customer complaints and drive continuous improvement initiatives through the management and implementation of site HACCP and technical KPIs.

Your experience

Ideally educated to a degree level in a food science / technology discipline, you will possess a strong quality assurance / technical track record within food manufacturing. You will be HACCP qualified, possess working knowledge of BRC requirements, have experience working with the major retailers and have the ability to build upon strong relationships. You will also be a seasoned manager who can develop, lead a drive a motivated team.

The QA & Technical Manager job is based in South West and is paying a £38,000 - £42,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are 8am – 4.30pm, however flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the business.
