Further Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly-qualified or experienced RMN or RNLD to work within a brand new service for young people, both male and female, aged 12 – 18 with mental health problems. The conditions we cover include mood disorders, emerging personality disorder, self-harm, bipolar disorder, psychosis and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Your day to day responcibilities will involve:

Work with internal departments to define the production plan and ensure it is executed to achieve all sales demand.
Manage all employees within production including all HR and training related matters.
Define, manage and report departmental KPI’s on a weekly basis.
Ensure that workflow is optimised for maximum efficiency.
Work with production engineering to plan and execute lean and continuous improvement activities.
Ensure all product conforms to applicable quality standards and has been fully tested prior to shipping.
Ensure all H&S practices and relevant legislation are followed and that H&S is the prime focus of everyone within the production facility.
Provide ongoing motivation to the production team to meet all performance targets.
Ensure all production operators are suitably trained for the tasks required of them and that there is adequate documentation and records to support this.
Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure that an adequate preventative maintenance schedule is in place for all production equipment.

Mandatory experience needed:

A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or manufacturing discipline
Experience of a mid/high volume manufacturing environment, ideally in the automotive sector
Previous demonstratable experience of setting up/improving production lines
Proven record of reducing production costs and improving product performance
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Experience working within a Lean Manufacturing environment and promoting continuous improvement.
Experience of/supervisory level, recruiting and developing a production team.
In depth understanding of ERP applications
