Job Responsibilities:

* Follow the customer call list programme contacting both existing and prospective new customers and maintain the customer database with information gained through calls including type of business, spend patterns etc to keep records complete and up to date.
* Handle initial calls for smaller customers who don’t warrant a Sales Executive visit escalating any greater issues to the Outbound Call Supervisor.
* Help to grow and develop new business and increase existing accounts through both regular contact and follow up of promotions and supporting marketing activity, and also by pursuing fading accounts.
* Research required information to enable effective calls to be made to both new and prospective business opportunities.

Preferred Skills:

* Extensive experience of working in a telephone sales environment and handling outbound calls, ideally to both known and new contacts.
* Hands on experience of working with call centre systems, numerical data and metrics.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Knowledge and/or experience of Customer Service principles and practices.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes.
* Able to read and interpret detailed numerical data and maintain both numerical and written reports and databases.
* Ability to build lasting customer relationships.
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Experience in a B2B sales environment would be beneficial
* Due to the location, ideally candidates will require their own transport

Girling Jones are recruiting for a Plant Manager to be responsible for the management of an AD farm plant; ensuring the efficient operation of the plant to maximise energy production. As Plant Manager, you will work with the feedstocks and farming team and deliver quality product efficiently, safely and professionally within set budgets and agreed timescales.

Role

* Ensuring the efficient operation of the plant to maximise energy production
* Monitoring and maintaining IT control systems and producing required reports
* Managing feedstock delivery, responsible for the storage and use of feedstocks
* Effective plant maintenance and monitoring
* Responsible for all elements of health and safety. Undertaking plant and site safety inspections ensuring a safe working environment for all at all times in conjunction with the Health and Safety Manager.
* Line management of the Plant Operators based on the site. Implementation of a working hours rota ensuring the plant is adequately staffed at all times.
* Problem solving – invoice reconciliation, weighbridge issues and diversion of vehicles.
* Implementation and monitoring all permit requirements
* Engagement and liaison with the local community and external regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency, Environmental Health and local Councils.
* Maintaining a working knowledge of current industry best practice and regulation.
* Strategically planning to prevent problems on sites before occurrence.
* Working along site plant operators to ensure plant uptime and efficiency levels are maintained
* Adhering to planning conditions and other conditions directed by other regulatory bodies.
* Liaison and close working relationship with the maintenance engineers.
* Assist Operations Director with the site P&L management and forecasting process.
* Ensuring a clear line of communication is in place with the Management and Accounts Team to ensure the production of quality information is available without delay.
* Support training programs when required to facilitate knowledge sharing for plant and operations
* Ensure that your line management reviews are carried out in line with company requirements and records are maintained in conjunction with the HR department.
* Ensure that all staff reporting to you operate within the Ixora HR Health and Safety and Security policies.
* Ensure Company Guidelines are followed at all times.
* Supervision of AD Plant Operators on the site
* Meeting and organising sub-contractors where applicable.

What you will need to succeed

* At least 3 years’ experience managing similar operational sites
* Good technical knowledge of anaerobic digestion
* Telehandler and tractor driving skills
* Sound data manipulation and IT skills
* Demonstrate a hands on approach when dealing with maintenance issues
* Good staff and contractor management skills
* Experience of community / public engagement
* Proven ability to work to timelines
* Excellent knowledge of relevant health and safety issues
* Experience of dealing with the Environment Agency and other regulatory bodies
* Resilience and drive and the ability to work independently
* Experience in the agricultural sector an advantage.
* Able to use your initiative and work well under pressure
* Ability to plan and prioritise complex and varied tasks
* Team player and excellent communications skills at all levels
* Ability to work co-operatively and in collaboration with other stakeholders, partners and colleagues

Qualifications

An appropriate qualification or equivalent experience of working on an anaerobic digestion plant/site is essential. WAMITAB would be an advantage.

Duties of Shift Engineer:

Qualities / experience / qualifications of Shift Engineer:

• City Guilds minimum Engineering or Electrical qualification or Higher National Certificate.

• Has worked in an Engineering role previously.

• Machine and equipment specific knowledge and knowledge of current Engineering standards.

• Excellent problem solving / fault finding skills.

• Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and correct techniques for using electrical equipment safely.
