As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will assist the Regional Plant and Maintenance Managers to ensure the plants run continuously at optimal efficiency.

* Performing planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance on site
* Responsible for feeding and routine monitoring of the plant
* Managing feedstock deliveries, storage and loading feedstock into the plant using a telehandler
* Respond quickly to machine and system failures
* Resolve the cause of faults to minimise downtime
* Communicate maintenance progress to your colleagues and keep accurate records of tasks completed
* Monitoring IT control systems and responding accordingly (This will include remote monitoring when on call out of hours)
* Adhering to, monitoring and responding appropriately to site processes and procedures
* Completing Meter reading and accurate data recording.
* Weighbridge operation and ensuring accurate data is produced and submitted to the finance department
* Ensure Health and Safety implementation and compliance
* Maintaining good liaison with colleagues, residents and other stakeholders – good communication skills essential.
* General housekeeping – keeping the site clean, safe and presentable.
* At times you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the plant and emergency call out (This is based on a rota system)
* Support training programs when required to facilitate knowledge sharing for plant and operations

What you will need to succeed

* Previous experience of operating plant machinery and current licence for driving a telehandler/forklift is advantageous, although not essential as training will be provided.
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance
* Proven ability to work to timelines and good time management skills
* A positive, proactive and dedicated approach with good flexibility
* Willingness to learn new skills alongside the regional maintenance team
* Ability to interpret data to maximise output and solve process issues
* IT literate with good numerical, analytical and diagnostic skills
* Attention to detail and a practical can do attitude. Good reliable team player with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work co-operatively and in collaboration with other stakeholders, partners and colleagues
* Resilience and drive and the ability to work under own initiative and out-of-hours
* Ability to plan and prioritise complex and varied tasks.
