Our Client is a well established family run business based in Wellington. We a looking for an experienced office administrator to manage the day to day running of the office. This role would suit someone with previous scheduling experience or someone looking for a new position that offers lots of variety and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing the incoming calls and forwarding calls as necessary
* Type up letters and meeting notes
* Manage staff HR and recruitment process - including management of staff holidays, sick leave and benefits
* Preparing and checking staff timesheets
* Order staff uniform and monitor stock levels
* Opening and distributing post
* Ensuring job schedule is kept up to date and prepare plans for programmed jobs
* Processing and reviewing job tickets
* Scanning and filing documents
* Assist directors with diary management and appointment bookings
* Ensure all office stationary is stocked up and re-order when necessary
* Weekly fuel order, and monthly standpipe submissions
* Ensure road tax for company vehicles is kept up to date and arrange visual inspections
* Assist the team with any additional administration tasks

Key Skills and Attributes:

* Previous experienced in an administrative role
* Excellent telephone manner and written communication
* Ability to multi-task
* Excellent understanding and experience using Microsoft packages (Excel, Work and Outlook Calendars)
* Strong organisational skills
* Self motivated with strong work ethic

Administration of high volume weekly and monthly payrolls to include all functions in relation to processing of correct payments using Sage 50 and assisting with enquiries.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of weekly payroll and support of monthly payroll as required.
2. Administration of starter/leaver information.
3. Calculation of statutory payments, accuracy of wages including bonuses, salary increases and overtime.
4. Handling payroll queries.

Essential Pre-Requisites:

Some of your duties will involve:

- Acting as a mediator in the house
- Purchasing provisions, such as fruit and tuck shop items
- Supervising laundry and dry cleaning activities
- Ensuring the tidiness and cleanliness of the house
- Performing administrative tasks

About You

To join us as a House Matron, you will need:

- Previous experience of working with teenagers (young people aged 13 – 18)
- A patient and compassionate approach
- Great decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
