You`ll be directly responsible for managing this Learning Disabilities service ensuring the smooth and safe running of the home, as well as making sure that the residents are given the best level of care possible. The home is exactly that, a home; it`s a service that`s dedicated to making life as comfortable as possible. We`ve got space for 6 residents but we`re looking after 5 at the moment.

You`ll be responsible for caring for our residents daily, we want our service users to grow and develop their sense of confidence, worth and self-esteem; you`ll be a good listener and up for a laugh. A good sense of humour is vital! As well as developing the residents, you`ll also be responsible for looking after staff, developing them so we can maintain the `Good` CQC rating and improve it in the future! You`ll be motivated, good at communicating and determined to set a great example, the best leaders always do! Of course, you know how to write care plans, rotas and are familiar with regulatory and compliance standards. You have the opportunity to build on an already great service and with your superb problem-solving skills and initiative, things can only get better!

You don`t have to have been a registered manager before but you will need to have had experience in a managerial/supervisory role before and have a level 5 qualification. If you have significant experience managing but haven`t finished your level 5 yet we`d still love to have a chat with you!

The Role

You will be part of a small in-house joinery team, specialising in architectural joinery for residential projects. Utilising traditional bench joinery skills and machining techniques. The role is very varied as you will be producing both standard and bespoke joinery for projects ranging from housing developments to listed buildings!

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications: A Level 3 qualification in Bench Joinery is desirable but the right skills, experience and a hardworking attitude are most important!

Senior: We are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner who wants to take on the responsibility of a more Senior position. You will be able to hit the ground running and support more junior members of the team where needed.

Junior: The company regularly help apprentices and junior bench joiners to learn their craft and develop internally. As such, there would also be the opportunity for a hard-working individual that is looking for a genuinely supportive company in which to train and develop as a Bench Joiner.
