This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing ecommerce company located in Sturminster Marshall, just outside Poole in Dorset.


The purpose of this role is to influence and implement the company’s ecommerce strategy and drive growth for the online brands. You will work with internal teams and external partners, manage a small team and report directly to the Managing Director. This is a full-time role for a motivated individual with comprehensive experience who seeks a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

* Influence and implement the brands ecommerce strategy to drive profitable growth across online channels
* Create and deliver an ecommerce product development and online roadmap that supports core business and marketing goals
* Provide input and technical validation to the assumptions behind new business requirements to ensure that the development programme is focused on investment that will deliver results
* Identify ecommerce opportunities and ways to capitalise on them
* Actively manage the external relationship with agencies and partners
* Take ownership of the day-to-day management of the website. This includes:

* Managing the day-to-day running of websites and online channels
* Maintaining the product catalogue
* Updating content to reflect the latest business promotions, marketing campaigns & merchandising schedule
* Supporting 3rd party tools that are being used for merchandising and marketing purposes on the website
* Running frequent diagnostic checks and daily site monitoring service to validate that the website is up and running correctly

* Provide line management support to a team

Criteria for success:

* Proven ecommerce leadership experience
* Detailed technical understanding of ecommerce technology and set-up
* Sound knowledge of SEO, digital marketing channels and how they influence ecommerce performance
* Robust experience with content management systems, ecommerce tools and analytics software
* Commercial acumen and understanding of the commercial impact of your role
* Able to quickly adapt to new situations, software tools and an evolving market
* Comfortable building effective relationships with colleagues, external partners and agencies

Key requirements:

* Minimum 5 years' experience in ecommerce
* Minimum 2 years' line management experience
* Excellent communications and influencing skills
* Comprehensive knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing dynamics

You will be responsible for the professional development and management of a group of key accounts along with winning new business across assigned channels and sectors. The role requires a highly motivated person that can meet customer's expectations and is able to take a hands on approach to problem solving. You must be able to work autonomously and manage your own time spending at least 3 days per week in the field.

Your role will be to meet and exceed set targets for your group of accounts through targeted contact and activity, developing and winning new business across your assigned client base, building strong customer relationships across your accounts with key personnel.
