Internal 1st Line Technical Support Assistant in Wareham

Our client with a head office in Wareham is looking to recruit an Internal 1st Line Technical Support Assistant.

You will be required to assist with Internal 1st Line Technical Support at their various offices so you will need to drive but predominantly you will be based in Wareham.

The role of Internal 1st Line Technical Support will be based at their head office in Wareham. But, the successful candidate will be required to travel to the other offices to meet the needs of the business and therefore will require their own car.

Main Responsibilities
• To proactively and responsibly troubleshoot and provide solutions to users both face to face and over the telephone in a professional and timely manner.
• To assist the I.T. team as directed
• To proactively contribute effectively to the team and to business needs
• To maintain accurate and timely records as required by the department
• To promptly report any system misuse
• Ensure all working practices are compliant with best practice and SRA requirements
• To ensure conducive working relationships with clients, colleagues and other associated third parties
• Ensure positive representation of the firm at all times
• To undertake training as directed
• Comply with policies and procedures as set down by the Firm
• Any additional duties that may reasonably be required

Knowledge, Experience and Skills required
It is essential that that you have at least 12-18 months experience as a 1st Line Technical Support in a similar role at a similar level giving first line support and liaising with third party contractors.

Transport Requirements:
Own car and a clean driving licence to enable travel and transport of equipment between the offices

Technical Skills:
• Windows 2008R2 and Windows 7
• Active Directory & Exchange
• Microsoft Office 2013
• PC Hardware
Soft Skills:
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Appropriate admin skills for record keeping
• Able to work effectively as part of a team but also undertake duties within own remit without ongoing supervision
