Our client the Weymouth and Portland Borough Council – Parks & Garden Team are seeking additional Parks & Gardens General Labourers for the 2018 season. With the season fast approaching, we are seeking candidates who can be called at short notice to join the team.

The ideal candidate’s will have previous outdoor labouring experience using petrol strimmer’s.

You must be over 18, hold a full manual UK driving licence and be confident in driving van 3.5t vans. We are seeking candidates who will commit to the full season March until October. Some candidates will continue through the winter months until the following season, but this is at the client’s discretion.

Overview of role:

* Physically demanding role and you must be a team player.
* Operate and maintain small plant and equipment used by the Parks and Gardens team - mainly petrol strimmer’s.
* Mow designated areas on footpath sections within the town area.
* Plant and maintain plants and trees as per Council’s program.
* Maintain and care for gardens and turf areas in Council’s Parks and Gardens and various other Council maintained properties.
* Cemeteries duties – Grave digging
* Provide a high level of service and efficiency working in conjunction with Council’s outdoor staff.
* Assist with the development and construction of landscaping projects.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of street gardens and grass plots.
* Provide effective customer service to both internal and external
* Customers.
* Participate as a member of Council’s multi-skilled workforce and undertake other duties as required.

MUST HOLD

* Full UK Manual Driving licence – No more than 3 points
* Passport or Full Birth Certificate with National Insurance Proof

Are you an E-Plan Designer / Draughtsman? Do you have experience migrating drawings from one engineering system into E-Plan? If so, a world leader in the design and development of electronic defence systems are looking to speak to you. Due to an increased workload and a system migration from Engineering Base to E Plan there are a lot of drawings that need to be copied into E Plan.

THE CANDIDATE
E-Plan Draughtsman / Designer
• Must have experience using E-Plan for design / drafting
• You will have an eye for detail and be able to transfer drawings from paper and other systems into E-Plan
• You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of drawings before final sign off by the engineer.

THE ROLE

This role is a key position in supporting the engineering team within the mechatronics department. Due to new projects and a system migration to E-Plan there are a number of drawings on paper and other systems that need to be accurately transferred into E-Plan to aid with the ongoing work.
