A Global Engineering company are currently recruiting for 2x Senior Cell Technicians on behalf of their Valves business, based at their site in Brough.

As Senior Cell Technician, you will be required to work with a team of Mechanical Assemblers to meet production deadlines, ensuring paperwork is correct, and full compliance is carried out. You will have responsibility for supporting and training of staff within the team, alongside also building assemblies to the external customer requirements.

The Cell Technicians will complete assembly builds with flexibility across a range of products, and offer suggestions for improvements. Additionally, you will also cover for final inspection at times and will be involved in pressure testing of products, and working with third party inspectors for inspection test procedures.

To apply for this role you will have previous experience of working as a Mechanical Assembler at a senior level - covering development and troubleshooting, as well as standard assembly, castings and fittings - within an Engineering/ Manufacturing Environment. You will be apprentice trained and/or qualified to HNC/HND equivalent. You will have a good understanding of manufacturing tools and equipment and ideally have worked to Lean philosophies.

The role offers a competitive salary of up to £23K (DoE) plus benefits, & the working hours are 7:30am - 4:15pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am - 11:30am Friday.

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - BROUGH - UP TO £32K (DoE) + BENEFITS

A global Engineering company are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of their Valves business, based at their site in Brough.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ensure bills of materials, engineering drawings and purchase specifications are available. You will be required to maintain design records referring to all technical documentation to define the design, manufacture, packaging, testing, installation and maintenance of the system.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will provide engineering support and expertise to conduct non-conformance reporting and corrective action. You will be required to ensure products are compliant with relevant regional directives, standards and certification requirements. Additionally you will be liaising with the Quality and production teams on technical issues, and identifying continuous improvement within the design process and products.

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to hold a formal qualification i.e. HND / HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related subject. In addition to this candidates need to have proven design experience using a top end 3D CAD package such as Solidworks, Creo, Inventor, Solid Edge etc. Candidates also need to have the ability to develop products from concept to completion. It would be advantageous for candidates to have experience in some of the following areas: FEA, Hand Calculations, 2D CAD, Knowledge of pressure vessel codes such as ASME, PED Etc, Valve Design.

The company are offering up to £32,000 plus 25 days holiday, Pension, life cover and non contractual bonus.
