The UK’s oldest independent hirer and manufacturer of modular and portable buildings is looking for a Event Fitter to join our growing team.

You’ll be joining a family owned business that has more than doubled in size in the last five years, as well as recently posting record profits. We are looking for new talent to help achieve our aim of being number one in our sector.

Who we are looking for

A Event Fitter is responsible for processing instructions received from the Yard Foreman as requested, ensuring quality, safety, security, and minimising wastage. You will have excellent time management skills, with the ability to juggle a busy workload and remain calm under pressure. Being an enthusiastic team player with a commitment to offering first class customer service is essential.

We are looking for Event Fitter to work at our events depot based in Sparsholt near Winchester.

Due to where we are based the candidate would need to be able to drive as there is no regular buses near to the depot.

Hours of work 7:30am – 16:00pm Monday to Thursday Friday 7:30am – 15:00pm 39 hours per week.

Over time would be required and would be paid at time and half.

Key Responsibilities

* Cleaning, painting and general maintenance to cabins / buildings as instructed.

* Ensure all furniture is checked on return to the yard, removed from cabins and put back into storage.

* Minimise material wastage.

* Assist in the safe loading and unloading of cabins / buildings and materials.

* Maintain good housekeeping in the yard and workshop at all times.

* Liaise with clients to confirm there requirements with regarding equipment being delivery and collected to and from site with the ability to communicate with clients.

* Liaise with the depot manager, office manager, foreman and sub contractor to insure that equipment arrives on site correct order and correct time to meet the customer’s requirements.

* To ensure the Health and Safety and well being of all employees and sub contractors is being carried out on site and with in the depot and adhere to current health and safety legislation.

* A flexible approach to working hours to deal with any incidents e.g. break downs working on site as standby over event weekends to cover any issue with equipment particularly during the summer months .

We are looking for temporary labourer/cleaner to work at our events depot based in Sparsholt near Winchester from the March through to mid to end of September with the potential of being permanent.
