We are looking for experienced HGV/LGV/C+E class 1 drivers to join our growing team

Ad Hoc and FTE (full time equivalent) positions available

As a Class 1 HGV/LGV driver, your main responsibility is to deliver goods from point A to point B, in a successful, safe and timely manner. We recruit drivers with a minimum of 6 months experience in the UK due to the high standards we deliver for our customers.

As a sister company to one of the largest haulage companies in the UK, working solely with one client we can guarantee your Class 1 driving hours each week, all year round!

An ideal candidate will have:

Full UK Class 1/LGV/HGV/C+E licence with a minimum of 6 months UK experience
Full CPC & Tacho
Positive and professional attitude
No more that 6points on your Licence (No DR,DD or IN codes)
Understanding on the working time Directive
Have driven a class 1 HGV for the last 180 days in the UK

The Role:

Supporting the Accounts Supervisor and other members of the Accounts team with the finance administration, specific duties as detailed below. A key part of this role will be to support the team in reviewing the current processes and implementing improvements to maximise efficiency.

Main Duties:

• Chasing customer debt via telephone and email Weekly reconciliation of each bank account
• Entering of all customer receipts for all 3 ledgers on to Sage
• Matching customer receipts against sales invoices
• Maintenance of the customer records
• Regular checking of credit limits and performing credit checks
• Maintenance of credit hound
• Issue customer invoices and credit notes
• Assist sales team with disputes
• Identify cross selling opportunities
• Customer statement reconciliations
• Reviewing existing processes and recommending / implementing improvements to maximise efficiency, utilising relevant electronic systems.
• Any other duties as required to support the Accounts team.

Essential Requirements:

• GCSE at least grade C in English and Maths
• Experience in performing the main duties of the role
• At least 3 years accounts experience in a high-volume credit control position
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Access and Word) and Sage Line 50
• A good understanding of transactional accounts (Receivables and Payables) and processes.
