They now seek a talented CAD Design Engineer to complement the business within new project from concept to implementation and adding to the already strong team of 6. With increased order uptake in part generated by our highly successful research and development program, and accordingly require the skills of a highly experienced hands on CAD Design Engineer to rise to the challenges demanded by the manufacture and mining sectors. The position is for an innovative hands-on design and supporting role.

Applicants must be primarily motivated by the creation of the ultimate design solution, supported initially by experienced engineers who will be able to offer guidance on specific product portfolio.

Building on your experience, creativity and enthusiasm for design, you will be contributing to the creation and development of a wide range of exciting innovative pressure equipment products and skid package designs as part of our multi-disciplinary teams. You will support some of these projects and support team members. The successful applicant will demonstrate an appetite for challenge and be adaptable to the needs of the business and our customers to contribute to our further successful growth.

Key activities include:

· Confident and proficient 3D inventor user (will consider Solid Works user)

· 3D concept visualisation/ 3D model generation - for product (pressure equipment) and process plant/ conveyor design

· Generation of 2D high quality manufacturing drawings for manufacture and BoM generation

· Inventive, Practical (mechanical minded) and Resourceful

· Team player - working with a focused team of Mechanical and CAD Design Engineers

· Excellent communication skills

· Appreciation of manufacturing practices for pressure equipment and process plant (materials, machining, fabrication, NDT.

· Create inventive, appropriate and practical technical concepts and assess their feasibility.

· Detail and specify design for robust manufacture; preparing component and assembly drawings using CAD.

· Ensure that design work undertaken is carried out in accordance with the company procedures and that a high level of professionalism is maintained.

· Work within regulatory framework and established quality system.

· Communicate effectively and deliver high-quality work on-time.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Degree level qualification in Mechanical or Similar

Preferred Skills

3D inventor Software Package (Time served, experienced user)

2+ Year Experience in a similar environment/position

Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.

Full Drivers Licence

In-depth product training given, process application appreciation

Travel may be required as the job develops

· 1st or 2:1 Bachelor's degree in Product or Plant Design Engineering or equivalent mechanical bias qualification. Professionally qualified or working towards CEng.

· Proficient in 3D CAD modelling, preferably suing 3D Inventor or similar package

· Experience designing either pressure equipment or industrial equipment

· Familiar with material mechanics and processes for machining and fabrication

· Engineering analysis including fit and tolerance calculation

· Appreciation of fluid mechanics

· Understanding of work within quality & regulatory frameworks

· Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

Our Client is a leading manufacturer that delivers bespoke and high-quality products to a client base across the private sector and is now seeking a talented Fabricator Welder to work with sheet metal, fit and assemble Special purpose machinery in the pharmaceutical/food industry, and has experience in working at customer sites within the UK. You may need a safety passport for some site work however, most of the work will be at the company manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities will cover:

· Mechanically fit, Weld, and assemble Special purpose machinery (Automation conveyors)

· MIG/TIG - Mild or Stainless or Aluminium (Mainly Stainless)

· Varying thicknesses from 1 - 20mm

· Complete in a timely yet professional manner

· Working at heights

· Complete work cards

· Minimise wastage
