I am currently recruiting for experienced Workshop Fabricator/ Supervisor on 12 weeks temp to perm basics for Company based in LE7

Fabricator / Supervisor Role:

• Basic hours of work are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

• There is no fixed overtime but due to the nature of the work, hours can be varied day-to-day and flexibility is required i.e. occasional 6:00am starts / 6:00pm finishes.

• Occasional requirement to assist with the Installation Teams to cover holidays/absence – working all over the UK

• Lodging away may be required on occasions (all food and lodgings are paid for) and a £10 bonus is paid for each night away.

• Full clean UK driving licence (minimum 2 years), CSCS Card, Forklift Licence, Abrasive Wheels training and Coded Welding are all required.

Fabricator/Supervisor job description

• The applicant will mainly work within our workshop in East Goscote.

• This will involve manual labour under the instruction of the Workshop Manager and can involve lifting of heavy and awkward objects.

• The work will involve cutting, grinding, drilling, welding, assembling of various mild steel materials 2-8mm thick and forklift driving.

• The applicant will be experienced in the use of a full range of power tools and hand tools and will be able to fully demonstrate the ability to carry out MIG welding to mild steel 2-8mm thick and be able to use any given welding machine without supervision.

• In addition, regular day-to-day housekeeping duties will involve loading/offloading (manual and forklift), stock maintenance, cleaning and general tidying upkeep of the workshop environment.

• The applicant will be expected to be a sensible team player who can work safely, to any given instructions and under the authority of other staff.

• Attitude is looked upon more favourably than experience and a poor attitude towards work and colleagues will not be tolerated.

Additional Job Description

• The applicant will also occasionally be required to work as a team of 2 alongside an Installation Engineer from a van/mobile workshop in customer’s homes and on commercial/industrial sites to cover holidays/absence.

• They will be expected to help and assist with the installation and repair of domestic garage doors across Leicestershire and Rutland and with the installation and repair of large commercial and industrial/factory doors all over the UK.

My client is a UKAS accredited construction materials testing laboratory based close to Syston, Leicester. A vacancy has arisen for a goal-orientated and self-motivated Operations Coordinator to join them on a full time, permanent basis. Delivering construction materials testing services to a wide range of clients across the UK construction sector.

The role offers a pay rate of between £20,500 and £21,500, depending on experience. You will work Monday - Friday (40 hours) 08.00 - 16.30/09.00 - 17.30 alternating weekly, with the requirement for some occasional overtime.

As an Operations Coordinator you will be responsible for maintaining client relations and assisting Managers in the day to day coordination and management of business operational activities. You will have experience of working in a busy office environment where multi-tasking and prioritising are required.

Your key activities will involve:

* Dealing directly with clients and scheduling daily site work

* Adding estimates of work and issuing contract reviews of the completed work

* Compiling of technicians' reports
