Our Leicester based manufacturing client is looking to recruit an experienced scheduler to take on the role of Senior Production Planner. It's a full time, permanent role working with a small team.

This is a new role which will see the successful person having significant involvement in the production planning function whilst also supporting inventory control processes.

You will:

Work as part of a team to manage the site planning activities so that daily/weekly supply chain activities are planned with the aim of improving or reducing costs

Help ensure that capacity is aligned with forecasted demand and any issues are highlighted promptly
Ensure that planning data is up to date and accurate
Create, analyse and monitor KPI data, highlighting trends and issues, where appropriate
Take control of any processes associated with production planning, site utilisation and product availability

Duties and responsibilities

- Setting, measuring and ensuring the achievement of KPIs to ensure the station is running efficiently.

- Reporting on KPI performance to Regional Depots Manager and Directors.

- Effective management of all personnel working on the site including but not limited to; coaching, training, development and regular staff performance review.

- Monitoring and managing the site budgets which include staffing headcount, equipment maintenance/repairs and site consumables.

- Investigating and implementing new processes to enhance productivity and ensure financial return from sites operations.

- Ensuring compliance with all appropriate regulatory bodies.

- Communicating effectively with all other company sites to ensure business objectives are met.

- Ensuring that all requirements for the site upkeep and maintenance are complied with fully and within the agreed timescales.

- Ensuring that all audits for health and safety, quality, customer and supplier requirements meet company minimum standards.

Our client is a rapidly expanding business providing ICT Services for businesses and educational establishments. Due to their continued growth there is an opportunity exists for a highly motivated IT allrounder to join their team initially on a 12 month contract.
The successful candidate will work alongside the IT Service Delivery Manager, IT Infrastructure Manager and existing IT Support helpdesk staff. You will provide support for approx. 1000 users across both our multi location UK offices and two sites in India who work on a combination of Laptops and desktops both thin & thick utilising both native RDP and Citrix. You will be expected to utilise relevant experience to maintain internal infrastructure within a predominantly Windows based environment.
Key Accountabilities
* Combination of 1st and 2nd line responsibilities
* Respond to internal helpdesk requests for LAN, WAN, telephone, printing, general IT support, including installing and configuring new PCs, Thin Clients, Laptops and Servers
* User and Computer account management.
* Assist with new projects, initiatives and application roll outs
* Provide support to the existing user base, both onsite and remote
* Assist with the implementation and migration to new business systems
* Prioritise work based on importance as support requests arrive
* Configure systems for new users including hardware, software and telephones
* Assist with on boarding of new staff and leaver administration
* Carry out hardware repair and upgrades for workstations, laptops and Servers
* Complete all tasks in a timely manner to ensure consistent system performance.
Skills/experience required
* Minimum 5 years' experience within IT Helpdesk and IT Systems Administration
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of using ServiceNow or similar enterprise level ITSM Helpdesk product
* General PC/desktop and helpdesk support coupled with strong hardware skills.
* Windows 10, Windows Server (2008,2012 and 2016), MS Office and O365 experience
* Active Directory administration including Group Policy
* Strong technical problem solving and communication skills
* A strong understanding of IT Security
* ITIL Experience
* Microsoft MCP qualifications
* Ability to effectively liaise with a broad user base
* Must be able to work on own initiative
