Credit Control Manager


£30,000 - £34,000 per annum + company benefits

My client has an exciting opportunity for a new Credit Control Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis in Leicester.

Main duties:

* Managing the team’s performance on outbound campaigns to take ownership for pursuing overdue debt on a portfolio of accounts
* Managing the debit collection targets for the team
* Authorising release of orders where credit limits have been exceeded or accounts have been placed “on stop” (in accordance with pre-determined guidelines)
* Authorising credit limit increases where appropriate
* Working with other departments to resolve queries and disputes causing payment delays
* Reporting on and managing reconciliations to minimise unallocated cash
* Ensuring that the team work on exceeded credit limits and on manual stops reports
* Supporting the team with training to calculate and discuss the benefits of Direct Debits and verbal set up this facility with the associated administration
* Managing high volume of inbound and outbound calls which may include Customer Service calls as well as credit control calls during our winter months

Experience required:

* Previous management experience
* Strong Credit Control experience and knowledge - must have debt chasing experience
* Excellent customer service, time management and telephone skills
* Be a strong negotiator and query resolution ability
* Team player and target driven

My client is a UKAS accredited construction materials testing laboratory based close to Syston, Leicester. A vacancy has arisen for a Construction Materials Testing Technician to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

The role offers a pay rate of between £8.50 and £10.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. You will work Monday - Friday (40 hours basic plus overtime) with the requirement to work nights and weekends as needed (to be booked in advance) and paid at a premium rate. A vehicle is provided for company business.

As a Construction Materials Testing Technician, you will be responsible for testing new and existing highway constriction, including constituent materials, and giving an accurate report for its compliance with the specification.

Your key activities will involve:

* Ensuring site and/or laboratory testing is carried out safely and to the correct industry standards

* Ensuring that all records are completed adequately and to standards required by my client

* Communicating with both internal and external clients and reporting any issues encountered

* Ensuring all test equipment is maintained, clean and calibration status is current

To be considered you must have:

* Full UK driving licence essential as the role can involve working on site as well as the laboratory

* The ability to work in any condition

* The passion to progress and learn

* CSCS card is an advantage but not essential

* Basic GCSEs – Grade C or above in Maths & Science

You will ideally have a background working in the elements outside with site experience and surveying capabilities. Experience not essential as full training will be given.
