Are you a confident and engaging ASD teacher / Autistic Spectrum Disorder teacher? Do you have a real passion for helping every child reach their full potential? Are you able to differentiate your lessons for a variety of abilities?

TeacherActive are seeking an ASD teacher / Autistic Spectrum Disorder teacher to teach a small class of primary students in a lovely SEND school in Street. This fantastic school is looking for someone with a structured approach to teaching, thorough in their lesson planning and keen to take a lead role in the development of children who may be non-verbal and/or exhibiting behavioural challenges. They place a strong focus on offering learning opportunities that provide them with the foundations to lead successful and satisfying lives. If you feel you can contribute to this ethos, please do not hesitate in applying.

Experience in an ASD setting is not essential, but desirable, as the needs of the students can be quite complex and you must be able to provide your own planning. Prior experience with TEACCH, Makaton and PECS would also be ideal. The school is dedicated to the progress of students’ academic, emotional and physical well-being, and teachers who are able to introduce new and inspiring learning concepts are very much welcome.

This is a rewarding role and requires applicants to have a background of teaching children with ASD. The role is on a week by week contract with the opportunity to go longer term for the right ASD teacher / Autistic Spectrum Disorder teacher.

The ideal ASD teacher / Autistic Spectrum Disorder teacher will be:
