We’re looking for support workers to work in one of our three homes in the Bridgewater / Wellington area. You will be allocated to the home on a permeant basis that is most convenient for yourself in terms of commuting and also the home we believe you’re most suited to. Your role as a children’s residential support worker in our CSE (Children’s Sexual Exploitation), will be to offer guidance, structure and stability to children who suffer from a cocktail of complex needs. The age of the children in our care ranges between 11-18years old. Two of our three homes has a total number of 3/4 beds filled. The third home will be a brand new home therefore the number of children hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, will have no more than 4 children as that’s the max number the home can accommodate.

To be a successful support worker in one of our three homes you MUST have a full UK driving license. Alongside, being at least 21 or over due to the age of the children you will be working with. You need to have held this license for at least 1 year or more. Again this is due to company insurance issues. It’s desired that you have an NVQ level 3 in Children’s and young people’s workforce, however not essential.
Residential Care Worker- £8.30 - £9.15 per hour with £30 per sleep in
Shift patterns:
They work the shifts as two on and four off; this ill work as a 16hour day followed by a sleep. You will complete two in a row and be in the work place for 48hours then be off for two days. For example;

Off- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 2:
Sleep in- Saturday
Sleep in- Sunday
Off- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Three staff to be on shift at any 1 time, therefore on day 2 of your sleep in you may have a chance of going home. It drops down to two staff on at the night time. Therefore one of the support workers can leave at 11pm/11.30pm if all is ok. Staffs usually take this in turns and rotate who will be leaving that night. Meaning, 1 in every 3 double sleep ins, you’ll get to go home at 11pm/11,30pm on the second night. Alongside this training takes place every other Thursday between the hours of 09.30am-1.30pm. All staff that is not on shift will be required to attend this training. You will be paid your hourly rate whilst on the training.

- Liaising with outside agencies/internal stakeholders
