Our Manufacturing team in Templecombe are looking for 2 Manufacturing Planners to join them on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in ensuring all new build, repair and refurbishment activities are processed to time, cost and quality in accordance with the plan, in order to satisfy customer deliveries.

These roles would be ideal for someone with experience in Production Planning or Manufacturing Planning who has experience in MRP systems and is looking for a varied roles and an opportunity to work on new build. For one of the position we are also keen to train someone up who has some experience working in a Manufacturing environment and is interested in moving into a Manufacturing Planning role.

Duties will include:
* Execute the Master Production Schedule and Repair Orders allocated to you
* Prepare and collate all required documentation to ensure efficient and effective progress through the shop floor
* Ensure all material is kitted to shop floor ready for build activities to start in accordance with the plan
* Identify material requirements to support repairs and work with the Manufacturing Buyers within the IPT to obtain material in timescales required
* Lead the resolution of any job related queries.
* Provide progress reports as required to the Industrial Planner against all allocated tasks
* Generate full build records for all deliverables where required
* Liaise with the Customer Loan Store to validate repair assets and documentation and arrange movement to the workshop for survey/repair

Key skills and experience required:
* Knowledge and experience with MRP principals and operation
* An understanding of either the repairs process or manufacturing processes
* Able to understand specifications, diagrams and engineering drawings
* Able to accurately capture data and present this
* A proactive “can-do” mentality
* Experience using Microsoft Office suite

* System Design: create detailed system / subsystem designs, including buy / team / make decisions, specification of internal / external interface definitions & information flows including the generation of ICDs
* Maintain currency on TDL developments and relevant STANAG/Mil-Std updates
* Understand nuances of TDL system limitations and behaviours at system level.
* Write and agree the Integration strategy with key project stakeholders, tailoring the standard IV&V process to meet the needs of the project & Integration Plans

Skills, experience and qualifications ideally required:

* To have a good working knowledge of DOORS including use to facilitate successful change management and acceptance.
* To have a working knowledge of various Design tools (e.g. Rhapsody)

The Role:
