Daisybrook is our largest home, with 10 bedrooms we provide long term settled care for up to 8 children and a short break service for up to 2 children at a time. Our support worker staff work various shift patterns, including, 6am to 10am, 7am to 2pm, 2pm to 8pm and 3pm to 9pm. Our dedicated waking night staff work from 9pm to 9am. We are looking for staff that can be flexible and are happy to work weekends on a rota basis.

We provide specialist support for our young people who have learning and or physical disabilities, complex health needs, autism and challenging behaviour. Our team at Daisybrook focuses on developing skills and providing opportunities for every young person to experience stability, a sense of belonging and the ability to explore and celebrate their own identity.

Our young people at Daisybrook have varied likes and interests, they enjoy cooking, gardening, arts and crafts and they enjoy planning a varied and exciting weekly menu, with foods from around the world, this does include the occasional takeaway!

All of our staff are enrolled onto a level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and are fully trained so that they excel and progress, with our full support, in their chosen career at CareTech.

Aspire People are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Reception who has additional special needs.

This post will include supporting the child on a 1:1 basis in all aspects of the school day, Special Educational Needs administrative support and working very closely with the school SENCO to develop the quality of provision further for children on the SEN register.

The successful applicant will have high expectations of achievement and behaviour and will be able to inspire children in a caring, positive and creative learning environment
The ideal SEN TA/LSA will have;

• Level 3 or higher NVQ
• Experience with working with children with special educational needs (ASD)
• A patient, caring and adaptable manner to deal with SEN pupils in an education setting
• To live in or around the Burntwood, Staffordshire area
• Qualifications such as Team Teach are an advantage
The successful teaching assistant would need to be available 5 days per week and hold extensive knowledge of supporting small groups and children on a one to one basis.

Material Handler/Overhead Crane Operator / Burntwood / £9.90 per hour

A Material Handler/ FLT Operative is required for a large steel processing company based in Burntwood. It is an excellent opportunity to join an established company. You will be loading and unloading vehicles using a counterbalance FLT and operating an overhead crane to handle steel coil.

Duties for this role would include:

* Loading and unloading vehicles using the overhead crane and FLT's
* Handling steel coil
* Decanting stock
* Banding, packing and palletising finished products
* Some basic PC use using the in house computer system
* Any other duties as required

Licences for both Overhead Crane and Counterbalance FLTs would be beneficial, but experienced candidate without licences will also be considered.

The hours of work for double day shifts, working 6:00am – 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 10:00pm Monday to Friday, rotating on a weekly basis, covering 40 hours per week. The pay rate for this role, including shift allowance, is £9.90 per hour.

The role is temporary to permanent, with permanent contracts offered to successful candidates after a shorter probationary period.
