 Job Description

 The Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for the following:

 - Hands on management of the shift based engineering resource and prioritise incoming   breakdown work    
- The Engineering Team Leader will supervise the engineering resource on shift
-  Assist in the repair of equipment breakdowns and quickly and effectively as possible to limit their effects on the site production targets 
- Manage shift planned routine maintenance tasks within all areas of the site and repair of any issues found.
- To be proactive with their shift team in the equipment / process continuous improvement
- Carry out routine equipment installations as required with the team
-  Ideally from a Food or FMCG background
-  Ideally electrical bias with a good understanding of mechanical

-          In return for working a 4 on 4 off (Days/Nights) the Maintenance Team Leader will be paid a salary of £43826 +  Holiday + Pension

Working a Continental shift pattern (4on/ 4off) and attracting a salary of £40.5k + holidays + pension, you will be responsible for the overhaul and repair of the company's range of machinery, plant, services and equipment, ensuring all are running safely and efficiently.

The Job

Working a continental shift pattern and reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:  
 
Working within a team of engineers to manage and control all maintenance activities on shift.
Ensure all good standards of maintenance duties are met
Minimise downtime suffered by machinery breakdowns
Undertake PPM's on machinery in accordance with PM schedules
Monitor the conditions of the plant and report any defects
Liaise with Stores Department to ensure the supply of appropriate parts and spares
Provide support to project engineering and continuous improvement programmes
Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded on the appropriate in house computer systems
Comply with appropriate health, safety and environmental policies and procedures at all times

The Person

The Shift Engineer will undoubtedly be an experienced and highly driven engineer.  
   
Essential attributes:

Time Served or Qualified to minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical engineering discipline
Experienced in a maintenance role with good mechanical and electrical skills
Ideally experience of working within Food, FMCG or other manufacturing environment
Good communication skills with the ability to work within a close-knit team
Flexible and reliable with the willingness to provide assistance where         necessary
Excellent Health and Safety awareness
