Heritage Care are looking for a Support Worker (Male) to join the team based in Werrington, Staffordshire. You will join us on either a full time or part time time basis and in return you will receive a competitive hourly rate of £7.93 per hour.

About the Support Worker role:

You will need to develop warm and trusting relationships with people with learning disabilities to help them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. No two days are the same - you will be supporting two gentleman in their own home in Werrington, Staffordshire to undertake household chores, including planning and preparing meals to supporting them in leisure, education and employment services inside and outside of the home.

One of the gentlemen is very active, loves walking, gardening, holidays and trips out.  The other gentleman enjoys music and sensory lights and peace and quiet.  However, both gentlemen like to eat out!

You will be required to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and "sleep ins".

What we’re looking for in our Support Worker:

- Exceptional relationship building skills as you will be part of an experienced staff team working full time inside the homes

- Excellent listening and communication skills

- Positive, encouraging attitude is a must

- Ability to demonstrate a good standard of written, verbal and numeracy skills as well as good basic IT skills

- Most important is a genuine passion for supporting people with learning disabilities to reach their full potential

- No particular qualifications are required but the Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 or related qualification would be helpful
