Key Responsibilities

* Preparing accounts and/or tax returns for SME’s, partnerships and limited companies.

* Develop great exposure to accounts analysis, accounts production and/or VAT returns whilst putting it into good practice.

* Dealing with ad-hoc queries to a range of client sectors including IT, Healthcare and Agriculture.

* Assistance with clients in-house with the potential to progress to client visits with senior Chartered Accountants.

Person Specifications:

The successful candidate will be a positive, team player with good attention to detail and ability to apply themselves

* Degree qualifications 2:1 and upwards (does not have to be finance related).

Due to an internal promotion they are looking for a quality Contracts Manager to join their team. Although they are a large developer, they pride themselves in their family values.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to deliver Spec Housing at the highest quality managing around 5 projects in the Birmingham / Worcestershire area.

The Candidate:

Ideally you will have been a Contracts Manager for the last couple of years, with a proven track record of working for a PLC housing developer. You will have a clear understanding of the build process and will be skilled at the management of programme from inception through to completion on several sites together with driving the companies Health and Safety policy.

Contract Manager Requirements:

* Coordinate the commercial, production and design teams.
* Drive Site Forward
* Using leadership skills to ensure a zero incident health & safety culture, implementing all regulatory health & safety
* Supporting and encouraging the development of team members, motivating them to meet objectives
* Delivering the projects or schemes to the agreed returns, to budget, both safely and on time
* Ensuring that all contract administration / procedures are undertaken
* Controlling and managing projects / site budgets including profit and loss, and managing budget constraints
* Implementing detailed programs which allow accurate monitoring and reporting
* Managing site logistics and communication plan
* Securing appropriate resources to deliver the project / scheme
* Knowledge of NHBC standards, codes for sustainable homes section agreements etc are critical to this role.
* Excellent Project / Program Management skills
