Turville is a beautiful Buckinghamshire village nestled in the Hambledon Valley. It has a pub called the Bull and Butcher that serves excellent food. The village has been used in many films and television programmes such as Went the day well, Peter Peter pumpkin eater, and more recently some several episodes of the Midsomer Murders, The Vicar of Dibley and Goodbye Mr. Tom.
The Smock Windmill, on the hill overlooking the village, was the home of Caraticus Potts in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The School buildings are now a very popular Nursery. Many of the cottages are flint and brick and some are adorned with Wisteria and surrounded by pretty country gardens.
I lived in the village for my childhood and had a very special time there.
The village is very popular with sightseers, ramblers, and dog walkers so becomes very busy at weekend\'s especially in the summer.
